Hi, I'm Michelle
I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist (HCPC Registered and BPS Chartered) with over twenty years of experience working in mental health services. I have been fully qualified for fourteen years, during which time I have specialised in working with adults, and specifically those who have experienced trauma and loss.
Having undertaken further specialist training in a range of evidence based psychological approaches, I am committed to providing therapy that research shows can really help. These include Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Compassion Focussed Therapy and Single Session Therapy. I offer both short-term (including single sessions) and longer-term therapy.
My areas of expertise
I work with adults on a wide range of difficulties including low mood and depression, anxiety and trauma. The services I offer are suited to those who are managing difficult transitions in their life such as loss, navigating changes at work, divorce or menopause. My hope is to support you in better understanding yourself and the areas where you feel stuck, whilst helping you to develop the knowledge and skills to find your way forward.

I have a particular interest in working with people who have experienced Reproductive Trauma, including infertility, pregnancy and baby loss. My personal experiences of loss throughout my own reproductive journey have had a profound impact on me and this undoubtedly influences my work as a psychologist. I proudly and tenderly integrate my expertise by lived experience with that of my expertise as a psychologist.

However, I believe that you are the expert in you. My therapeutic style is therefore collaborative and integrative, supporting you in a way that best meets your own unique needs.

What I do
After working in the NHS for fifteen years, I now offer therapy in my own online private practice as well as services through The Loss Collective, which focusses on supporting people who have experienced pregnancy and baby loss.
After many years in London, I am now based in Hove where I try to spend as much time as possible in or by the sea.
You can find out how to work with me here.
