For healthcare professionals and organisations

I have extensive experience providing supervision, consultation and facilitating reflective practice. For several years, I was the manager of a large team of psychologists delivering training and consultation to wide range of professionals in the NHS, Social Care and charitable sector.

Having undertaken further specialist training in multiple specialist therapies, consultation and reflective practice, I can adapt my practice to meet your specific needs or that of your team or organisation.

Supervision

I offer ongoing regular supervision to psychologists and other therapists. My approach is collaborative and integrative, exploring both direct therapeutic work and the personal impact of this. I have particular expertise in supporting those who have navigated their own lived experiences that overlap with their clinical work.

As an experienced lecturer and tutor, I can also offer supervision for therapists in training and applied research projects.

Consultation

These are offered as one off sessions to a range of professionals with the option of a follow up if needed. In this collaborative space, we can explore a specific question or situation that you need to untangle. Different from supervision, a consultation session might be used to:

  • Explore the impact of the work on you

  • Discuss a particular clinical dilemma

  • Think about a crossroads in your career

  • Explore returning to work following a period of leave

  • Reconnecting with your values in your work

  • Discuss working as a psychologist / therapist on social media

Group reflective practice

I facilitate group reflective practice with a wide range of teams and organisations. By bringing people together in a safe and containing space, it becomes possible to thoughtfully explore the work and how it impacts both individuals and dynamics within the team. Group reflective practice can help with many things, including:

  • Connecting teams with the emotional impact of the work and a space to process this

  • Improving ethical and evidence-based practice

  • Increasing awareness of assumptions and biases

  • Improving communication, compassion and connection within the team
